S.S. New Jersey Sun on 9/4/60: From the Collection of Dave Boone
I sailed aboard the New Jersey Sun as a deck cadet in the summer of 1977.  I have some wonderful memories of this experience, and I must have sailed with guys that you know.  There was Capt. Robert McKnett, Capt. Jack Taylor, Chief Mates Joseph Earner and Joe O'Reilley, 2nd Mate Slim Cushman, 3rd Mates Danny Koch and Bill Peterson, Bosun Charlie Sawyer, and others.
These were taken at the Todd Shipyard in Galveston, Texas, on May 28, 1977.                Collection of David Ogden
